HOME (HSCLA2016)

LIMITED ONLINE SERVICE:

A new version of HSCLA is released on June 2022! This new release includes data taken through 2016 and the total data volume increased significantly. Now, the total area of 3400 square degrees is covered in at least one filter and as many as 770 million sources are detected and measured. The data processed here are from 800 hours of observations executed under good conditions. Also, the overall data quality is improved thanks to updates in the processing pipeline.

Welcome! Hyper Suprime-Cam Legacy Archive (HSCLA) is a public archive of processed, science-ready data from HSC taken as part of PI-based programs. There are two versions currently available:

  • HSCLA2014 includes data taken in the first year of science operation (i.e., 2014 only).
  • HSCLA2016 includes data taken up through 2016 and is the latest version.

This page provides links to the latest release. If you are interested in the previous release (HSCLA2014), please go to this page.

Note that data from Subaru Strategic Program (SSP) are not included in the HSCLA at this point. The SSP data are served separately from this site. We plan to include the SSP data in the HSCLA once the survey is over and final data release from SSP comes out.

We used the same data processing pipelines as HSC-SSP PDRs. Namely, we used hscPipe v.6 used for HSC-SSP PDR2 to process the HSCLA2014 data, and hscPipe v.8 (PDR3) to process HSCLA2016. The quality and nature of the processed data are therefore identical to HSC-SSP and we encourage the users to refer to the HSC-SSP data relase website, in particular the known issues and FAQs. A variety of photometric and astrometric QA tests for HSCLA can be found in the AVAILABLE DATA page. Go to DATA ACCESS page for links to our data. If you use the HSCLA data in your publications, please acknowledge us! See the ACKNOWLEDGEMENT page for details.
